It's not every day the current President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, invites you to present our LDC data on U.S. Latinos to the daily press room. Ana Valdez, CEO of the Latino Donor Collaborative, was able to share that the U.S. Latino GDP was $3.6 trillion dollars within the overall U.S. GDP, a number so significant that if it were it's own country, it would be the fifth largest economic GDP in the world. She painted a picture that is based on facts and needs to be shared. This data shared before Mexican leadership, and the wider global leadership who tunes in, underscores how important these facts are! Amazing to see our President and CEO, Ana Valdez, present and see how the data from The U.S. Latino Youth 2030: An LDC Report shapes new marketing campaigns. When 1 in 4 under 18-year-olds is Latino, it's time to pay attention! #Latino #Latina #LatinoYouth #LatinoDonorCollaborative L'Oréal Capital One Colgate-Palmolive TelevisaUnivision
I had the honor of keynoting the #2025LatinoERGSymposium, hosted at Progressive Insurance’ headquarters (OHIO)—thanks to the incredible Marcia Moreno, MA, CDE®. The room was filled with business leaders and some of the top strategic minds at Progressive, including marketing executives shaping the future of customer growth. Over lunch, I had the chance to hear firsthand how their Progressive Insurance data teams are thinking about market shifts, consumer identity, and brand alignment—and I walked away smarter. One moment that really stuck with me: seeing the insights from our #LDCLatinoYouth2030Report echoed in their work—and more importantly, put into action by a company with a truly national footprint. The images below capture a glimpse of those conversations that left us all buzzing with ideas. Independently from political debate, there is a broader cultural shift where the voices and contributions of the Hispanic community are being recognized and celebrated by leading brands (and society as a whole, specially youth). And why does this matter for companies like Progressive Insurance adidas, L'Oréal Constellation Brands Wells Fargo, etc.? Because the Latino cohort is not only the engine of U.S. economic growth, but also one of the most future-focused, digitally engaged, and brand-loyal consumer segments. Companies that are paying attention now—investing in understanding, connecting, and building with this community—are positioning themselves for long-term growth and leadership. Thank you again, #Marcia, for curating such a sharp, forward-thinking gathering! And thank you to the #Progressive team for the warm welcome—and the powerful, data-backed dialogue. This is what market leadership looks like. The LDC and a great group of content creators met with Alvaro Bedoya, former Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) last week to discuss the challenges and opportunities Latinos face. The conversation turned personal as the Latino influencers were able to openly discuss the challenges and opportunities facing young Latinos today, from representation in policy discussions to economic empowerment and digital advocacy. As a Peruvian immigrant, Commissioner Bedoya shared personal insights about his upbringing and the values instilled in him by his mother, emphasizing that being an immigrant does not make one "less than." His words deeply resonated with those in the room, reinforcing the importance of Latino representation at all levels of leadership. The conversation was powerful. The LDC data supports the mission of changing the Latino narrative. We also see the influence the Latino cohort and Latino youth have today. Looking forward, as Latino influence grows in every sector, with more young Latinos having clarity and understanding, as well as being proud of their heritage and seeing the positive strength the Latino culture holds... we believe these conversations will begin to shape the nations future. #LDC #LatinoDonorCollaborative #Hispanic #LatinoGDP #USLatinos #SecureAmericasWorkforce Ana Valdez

Last week, LDC's CEO and President, Ana Valdez, sat down with Congressman Joaquin Castro and an amazing group of content creators for an inspiring conversation about the power of Latino narratives, the role of social media and news, and the undeniable impact of Latino youth in shaping the present and future of the U.S. The session and conversation reaffirmed that the Latino story is key. The "average Latino" makes America strong and prosperous and is proud to be in this country. The Latino FACTS show the powerful truth about Latinos in the U.S. If you haven't seen the full interview, it is worth your time. The conversation included the pride in being an immigrant or child of hard-working immigrant parents, how the economy will be hit hard without crucial reforms rather than a blanket deportation, many “undocumented” have been working and paying taxes in the U.S. for decades, the role the media plays in portraying Latinos as the “boogeyman” instead of recognizing how family-oriented, educated and driven Latinos are, and how we can use the Latino voice to talk about the FACTS rather than let the current narrative continue. Knowledge is power. The LDC brought crucial data to important meetings with Congress People. At a time when the news cycle can feel overwhelming, often affecting morale across our communities, staying informed remains essential. Sharing our data and stories is more critical than ever, bringing authenticity, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose to the national conversation. While in D.C., the LDC joined together a group of Latino content creators to further amplify the LDC message among the Latino community through meaningful conversation. Together, these Latino influencers have more than 20 million followers. We aim to increase community engagement around critical issues that affect U.S. Latinos. These content creators exemplify what our LDC Latino Youth Report describes, they are 100% American and 100% Latino, unapologetically using their voices to connect authentically with Latinos, all while staying true to a clear mission of supporting their communities in their own unique way. Our conversations reaffirmed that the Latino story is key. 25% of youth in the U.S. is LATINO which makes Latinos a driving force behind America's future. We're so proud of the work the LDC team and LDC CEO, Ana Valdez, are accomplishing in D.C. this week! Ana Valdez joined bipartisan federal lawmakers and top U.S. business leaders from American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC), the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and Comité de 100 at the U.S. Capitol to promote the Secure America’s Workforce campaign. This initiative unites thousands of industry leaders from across the nation and aims to raise awareness and push for sensible federal immigration policy while prioritizing economic stability and national growth. The goal is smart immigration reform. The LDC is so proud to have supported this campaign with the key data that clearly shows how Latinos are the valuable economic engine of the U.S. During today's highly anticipated press conference, Ana highlighted that the U.S. Latino GDP now stands at $3.6 trillion, ranking as the fifth-largest economy in the world—ahead of global powerhouses like India, the UK, and France—and over 60% of that GDP is driven by Mexican Americans whose contributions are foundational across every major sector of the American economy. We can't wait to share more as the team spends this week in D.C. and hosts, as well as joins, committees all week long. #LatinoGDP #USLatinos #SecureAmericasWorkforce #LDC

The LDC is proud to lead alongside United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC), and Comité de 100 this week in a historic movement in D.C. as we launch the #SecureAmericasWorkforce Campaign, which emphasizes the need to address labor shortages, streamline the immigration system and provide legal pathways for law-abiding, tax-paying immigrants contributing to Americaʼs growth. #LDC is proud to provide the data and our support for this effort. We'll be starting the campaign by hosting an LDC event tomorrow evening with #Latino influencers coming to Washington D.C. to express their support for immigration reform, a live streamed discussion, and guest U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro. Stay tuned! #ImmigrationReform #LDC #LatinoGDP #USLatinos #Economy #USA
