  • 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆! May we take a moment to reflect on the trailblazing women who have transformed the world through their leadership, innovation, and resilience. From architects designing the skylines of tomorrow, to engineers innovating sustainable solutions and construction leaders bringing these visions to life—women in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) continue to break barriers and redefine what’s possible. Their contributions are not just shaping cities—they are shaping the future for a more inclusive and resilient industry. 👷🏽♀️👩🏻💼👩🏾🔧👷🏾♀️ As a women-owned business, Laland Baptiste understands firsthand the power of representation, resilience, and leadership. We are proud to have strong, talented women as part of our team— Schillivia Baptiste, Afsaneh Eshaghi, Cynthia Tenore, Dawn Langenbach, Janet Faulhaber, Janvi Mangukiya, Kadea Bailey, Klea Papuli, Rosaria Amaral, Tara Maurillo, Kate Thompson — professionals who bring expertise, vision, and dedication to everything we do. Their contributions drive our firm’s success while inspiring future generations of women to pursue careers in AEC. While today is an opportunity to celebrate progress, it is also a call to action. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of 2023, women only make up 11.2% of the construction industry workers. Of that 11.2% statistic, only 2.24% of the total workforce of women hold leadership positions. True equality requires continued commitment, at Laland Baptiste, we advocate for a future where more women have access to opportunities, mentorship, and the resources needed to thrive in this industry. But beyond AEC, International Women’s Day is about recognizing ALL women—in every industry and every community around the world—who lead, innovate, and uplift those around them. Their impact is immeasurable, and their achievements deserve to be honored not just one day, but every day. 🌍 💜 Tag a woman in AEC that inspires you! Schillivia Baptiste, P.E., Assoc.
