If you're passionate about growing a greener future for California and Los Angeles, you’ll want to support Senate Bill 803, which will be presented to the California Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Water in early May. SB 803 establishes a Green Collar Certification for young adults participating in state-certified conservation corps programs. It also strengthens career readiness by creating clear pathways into registered apprenticeships, higher education, and the workforce. This bill has the potential to greatly benefit our Corpsmembers and Local Corps (California Association of Local Conservation Corps) throughout the state. Did you know? Last year, we recycled over 95,000 pounds of beverage containers! At our sorting center in Northeast LA, our Corpsmembers process recyclables collected from events across the county—including the iconic Rose Bowl. By giving these materials a second life, we saved more than $43,000 in energy costs—the equivalent of running a washing machine for 367,653 hours! #Recycle #GreenJobs #Sustainability

☀️🌊 Our Corpsmembers are planting with a view! 😎🌱 We're partnering with Los Angeles World Airports and the Los Angeles Office of Community Beautification to help restore the LAX Dunes—revitalizing native ecosystems and creating a thriving habitat for the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterfly. 🦋 Last year, our crews restored 44,866 square feet of habitat on other projects, and we're excited to make an even bigger impact this year! #NativePlants #ElSegundoBlueButterfly #HabitatRestoration

Great news! We’re receiving a $250,000 grant from the funds raised at the Fire Aid benefit concert! A huge thank you to the thousands of people across the country who donated to Fire Aid. Your support is helping us expand fire relief, cleanup, and fuel reduction efforts. It’s also allowing us to train the next generation of wildland firefighters and hazardous waste experts. We have served Los Angeles for nearly 40 years, and disaster relief is at the core of our mission.
