Brand Authenticity vs. Brand Consistency In the realm of branding, the debate between authenticity and consistency often takes center stage. Authenticity revolves around staying true to your brand's core values and being genuine, while consistency focuses on the steadfast delivery of those values over an extended period. The two concepts must work in tandem… authenticity without consistency feels erratic, while consistency without authenticity lacks soul. https://lnkd.in/ecpigrxA

Raise your hand if you had LeBron James vs. Stephen A. Smith on your beef bingo for 2025. No? Same here. But when two powerful Black men in media and sports publicly unravel their relationship, the world watches and dissects every moment— and only a few understand the real stakes. Throughout March, our Aunties & Nieces series has featured women who share challenger brand persona traits but are connected by the collective impact, resilience, strength, and excellence that is continuously on display across their respective industries. The Underdog persona is known for its grassroots efforts, tenacity, and ability to connect with audiences seeking traditional products or services with a nontraditional twist. Over the past year, we’ve seen former VP Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett display both tenacity and grassroots efforts. Kamala Harris served as the 49th vice president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. She is the first female US vice president, African-American, and Asian-American official in US history. A graduate of Howard University and the University of California Hastings College of Law, Harris served as District Attorney of San Francisco, Attorney General of California, and a Senator before running for President in 2024. Jasmine Crockett has served as the US representative for Texas’s 30th congressional district since Jan 2023 and most recently served as co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Crockett earned her BA from Rhodes College and a JD from the University of Houston.
