KTB is a network of dedicated Texans working together to make our state the best place to live, work and play.
About us
Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Texas the best place to live, work, and play by deploying resources for community improvement projects, clean-ups, and youth engagement efforts across the state. Through our Keep Texas Recycling program, we provide assistance and education to support recycling in rural and underserved communities. Everything we do is focused on mobilizing volunteers to take action by providing them with tools, resources, and training. Our fieldwork includes research on best practices for litter reduction along with the development of community programs to prevent the flow of litter to the Gulf. Founded in 1967, Keep Texas Beautiful’s work is driven by its network of nearly 300 affiliate member communities, volunteers, and supporters that reach 17 million Texans annually. For more information and to find your closest affiliate, visit our website, www.ktb.org.

Spring is here, and it's the perfect time to start fresh and reduce your carbon footprint! Our friends at Reliant Energy have a simple recommendation to help protect the Texas environment: follow the 4-by-4 rule: if no one will be home for more than 4 hours, set the temperature 4 degrees higher while you’re away. It’s an easy way to make a big difference! Want to do even more this spring? Sign up for the Reliant EcoShare™ program! In partnership with EarthShare Texas, you’ll support over 30 local environmental organizations and offset your carbon emissions, helping keep our Texas landscapes beautiful year-round. #earthsharetexas #reliantecoshare #KeepTexasBeautiful EarthShare Texas

Happy Walk to Work Day! 👟🌼 This time of year, Texas shows off a full spectrum of color—from blooming wildflowers to the birds passing through. Our state’s seven natural regions each have their own seasonal "palette," featuring both native and migrating species—like the red-breasted grosbeak—and a mix of native and even invasive plants, such as common reed. Whether it’s Retama Lemon lighting up the South Texas Plains or Prickly Pear Pink standing tall in Big Bend, every step outside tells a story. What colors are catching your eye on your walk today? Shout out to Texas Forest Service for inspiring this post 🎨✨️ #WalkToWorkDay #TexasInColor #NaturePalette #KeepTexasBeautiful
