  • Celebrate Women’s Health this World Health Day! Every year, we invest in women in our Cote d’Ivoire community through their health. For a week, we work closely with local doctors, nurses, experts, and translators to provide women with up-to-date educational materials on diverse women’s health topics that include breast and cervical cancer awareness, reproductive health, and health rights. We conclude this celebration by turning our classrooms into women’s health clinics and providing free screenings for cervical cancer. This year, we are inviting you to invest in the health of mothers and women of the community by donating. https://lnkd.in/g9UHw5aR $5 covers the cost to print an educational flier $10 covers a health screening for one women $25 covers a health screening and lunch for one women $100 covers the cost of one health care professional for the event Thank you for joining us on this endeavor. #CervicalCancerAwareness #CommunityHealth #WomensHealth #WorldHealthDay

  • Please enjoy Evelyne's reflection from her recent educational learning trip to New Zealand: "I recently visited the wonderful country of New Zealand for a study-tour that provided hands-on experience with bi-cultural teaching strategies, community-centered curriculum design, education for children with diverse learning needs, and the importance of program adaptation. Why is this important? I’m glad you asked! The hands-on experience education that we are providing at the school in Cote d’Ivoire is an innovative way to train the African leaders of tomorrow. While instilling the love of learning in the 517 children that we have rescued and educated thus far, I’m working closely with our teachers to educate children who are proud of their cultural heritage, can advocate for their rights, protect natural resources, and care for the local environment and their communities. Every week, I (Evelyne) work with our teachers to utilize available resources and through practical daily learning experiences teach our students skill sets needed for their communities. From gardening to cooking to visiting the local health center to volunteering, our students are exposed to their community’s needs and partake in finding solutions. It is worth it for us to look at successful models of education around the world, not to replicate but to adapt. I left NZ dreaming about us building educational spaces where communities can thrive and children will be delighted to come learn every day!" Please join us as we design our own campus to make this dream come true. 💙

  • According to Forbes.com, "Research shows that companies with more women on their boards outperform those without by a significant margin, and organizations with greater gender diversity among senior leaders are more profitable." This is just one of the many reasons we are so passionate and grateful to be a woman-founded and predominantly women-led organization—from our teachers to board members to interns! When women lead, communities thrive. We are proud to be part of the movement that uplifts and empowers women, ensuring that education and leadership opportunities remain at the forefront of our mission. ❤️ Here’s to the power of women—in leadership, in education, and in shaping a better world! #WomenInLeadership #WomenFounded #EducationForAll #KSPImpact #StrongerTogether

  • As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, we reflect on the power of women leading the way—and at KSP, that leadership is at our core. As a woman-led nonprofit, we are dedicated to educating and empowering girls and women both in the U.S. and Africa, breaking cycles of poverty and creating opportunities for a brighter future. From Côte d'Ivoire, where Evelyne uses her firsthand experience to ensure girls have access to school instead of early marriage, to our support for RV families in the U.S., we stand firm in our mission to uplift women and children through education. We believe in the impact of women supporting women! This month, honor the legacy of women’s strength by investing in education. • Today, we recognize the strength, resilience, and dedication of single parents who work tirelessly to provide for their children. Raising a family alone comes with challenges, but we believe that no parent should have to do it without support. According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation, we can combat the disadvantages children in single-parent households face by: 1️⃣ Supporting and assisting parents—especially parents of color—through trauma-informed and culturally relevant services, like mental health care. 2️⃣ Ensuring access to safe, high-quality early education centers. 3️⃣ Addressing institutional barriers such as equal housing opportunities, healthcare access, and dismantling systemic racism. At KSP, we strive to be a liaison and advocate for single-parent families worldwide, working to provide the support and opportunities they deserve. 💜 To all the single parents out there: We see you. We celebrate you. And we are here to uplift you. #NationalSingleParentsDay #SupportSingleParents #EducationForAll #KSPImpact #StrongerTogether

  • At our most recent YESS event, we had the honor of hearing from Jacob Pohiva, whose story is a powerful testament to perseverance, faith, and second chances. Growing up in East Palo Alto with eight siblings, Jacob faced relentless challenges—bullying, an abusive father, eviction after eviction, and time spent in shelters. He struggled with overeating as a coping mechanism and fell into gang life during high school, making choices that led him down a dangerous path. At his lowest point, after a devastating heartbreak, he attempted to take his own life. But when the gun jammed, Jacob believed it was a sign—God had saved him for a greater purpose. That moment sparked a transformation. Jacob poured his energy into football, growing into a 6’3” defensive powerhouse. At Foothill College, he played for two years while receiving support through Umoja, an organization that became a pillar in his success. Before he found faith in God, he found faith in his mother, who always inspired him to keep going. That faith, helped him turn pain into purpose. Jacob’s journey reminds us why YESS exists—to uplift, support, and empower youth facing seemingly impossible circumstances. His story is one of survival, transformation, and the power of believing in a better future. 💜 Let’s continue creating spaces where young people can find hope, build community, and rewrite their stories. #YESSRecap #Resilience #EducationChangesLives #KSPImpact

  • 🎭✨ Celebrating Mardi Gras in Côte d'Ivoire! ✨🎭 Mardi Gras is more than just a celebration—it’s a chance for children in Côte d'Ivoire to express their culture, honor those they admire, and showcase their dreams for the future. Each year, they step into the roles of leaders, changemakers, and professionals they aspire to become. This year, the children dressed as doctors and nurses, embracing their hopes of one day serving their community through medicine. They even had the incredible opportunity to take a field trip to a local healthcare center, where they honored three dedicated medical staff members in the village. At KSP, we believe in nurturing these dreams and advocating for the medical needs of the community. Every child deserves access to healthcare and education that empowers them to create a brighter future. 💜💚💛 Let’s continue to uplift and support these young minds as they reach for their goals! #MardiGras #FutureLeaders #EducationForAll #KSPImpact #HealthcareForAll
