The Kansas State Rifle Association (KSRA) was organized in 1928. It is composed of men, women and youth who have one thing in common, they want to protect their constitutionally guaranteed right to own, bear and use firearms for legal activities and sports. Whether your interests are hunting, collecting, target shooting or self-protection, you need to join together with us in order to help protect the right to continue these activities. KSRA works at the state level to organize the efforts to maintain these rights. KSRA is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, Civilian Marksmanship Program and works with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. KSRA represents Kansas gun owners in the legislature. We led the drive to pass a State Law prohibiting harassment of law-abiding hunters, trappers and other sportsmen. We have worked to help bring pro-gun bills before the legislature; bills that protect shooting ranges from encroaching development; bills that would allow responsible citizens to carry concealed firearms for their personal protection; bills to preempt local jurisdictions from infringing on your rights and bills that favor the preservation of hunting.

President Biden spoke to Everytown for Gun Safety’s “Gun Sense University” in Washington, D.C., in a “rinse, lather, repeat,” performance of nearly every other gun control speech he’s delivered since he announced his candidacy for The White House. This time, he accentuated his threat to wage war on law-abiding gun owners who cherish their Second Amendment rights, pilloried those who value those rights as a hedge against a tyrannical government and vowed to defy the Second Amendment and U.S. Supreme Court by banning the most popular-selling centerfire rifle in America – the Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR). “How many have heard this phrase, the blood of liberty washes those… gimme a break,” President Biden said. “No, I mean it. This year marks the 25-year anniversary of Project ChildSafe. Since its inception in 1999, Project ChildSafe has raised awareness about safely handling and securely storing firearms when not in use, along with educating children about firearm safety. Project ChildSafe began in just five cities in the U.S. and has grown to serve all 50 states and the five U.S. territories. To date, Project ChildSafe has distributed more than 41 million safety kits, which include a cable-style gun-locking device and educational brochures available at no cost to gun owners. The firearm safety kits are distributed through partnerships with more than 15,000 local law enforcement agencies and 13,000 organizational partners.
