Skilled Trade Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, mechanical systems, and structural components at the University of Kansas Health System Training Complex, GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and outside areas of the Truman Sports Complex. This role requires a versatile individual who can handle a variety of tasks, including mechanical diagnostics and repairs, professional-level spray painting, welding, and executing preventative maintenance schedules from planning to completion. This position will perform skilled, complex, work in the repair, preventive maintenance and installation of plumbing in a commercial complex that has a variety of plumbing systems from restrooms to concession stand equipment, hot and cold domestic water systems, grease traps, kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, pressure washers and all infrastructure piping, including cleaning all drains using sewer augers, water pressure jetting equipment as well operating sewer camera equipment. We also hosted an inspiring event for youth from local tribes, focused on education, wellness and sports – empowering them to dream big and believe that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible.
