To make sure every child in our program has a new pair of shoes that will foster confidence and a sense of belonging.

About us

Just a Pair of Shoes is a nonprofit organization in the state of Ohio. We believe in giving high quality name brand shoes to children in 4th-6th grade. To instill confidence in each child and showing them the importance of being a good friend, good student, and a good son or daughter. Having a nice pair of shoes will allow a child to not walk with their head down and have some small success in different areas of their life. A little success can spark hope for a better future. Just a Pair of Shoes preaches the importance of higher education and participating in athletics. At the end of the day, it’s not just a pair of shoes, it’s what you do in them. It’s joy, it’s hope, it’s confidence, and it’s comfort in knowing someone believes in you.

  • We had the honor of connecting with 48 incredible kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Westchester — a place filled with energy, laughter, and endless potential. Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported. And at this club, that’s exactly what’s happening. From mentors pouring into young lives to students showing up with big dreams and even bigger hearts — this is where the future is being built. A big thank-you to the amazing employees from the Nike store in Cincinnati who showed up to volunteer and make the day even more memorable. Your time, energy, and heart made a lasting impact. Thank you, Boys & Girls Club of Westchester, for creating a space where confidence grows, friendships form, and greatness begins. #GreatFuturesStartHere #WestchesterStrong #InspiringYouth #BoysAndGirlsClub #NikeCommunity #JustDoIt Nike Communications, Inc. #pair2574 Boys & Girls Clubs of America Nike Nike Store

  • We’re thrilled to reveal this year’s 5K shirt design—inspired by one of our custom cleat designs created by the talented Annelise, Eva, and Raegan! This year’s theme: “Follow Your Dreams” The artwork features a faceless young student in a hoodie, designed that way so you can see yourself in their shoes—full of hope, courage, and endless potential. The #1 on the hoodie honors Drew Ogletree, who wore the number during the final stretch of his high school journey. And we can’t wait to see our community rocking it on race day! Reminder: Participants will not receive a shirt if they register after April 30th 2025 Sign up below for our 5k on saturday May 10th: https://lnkd.in/gA2KC5pa

  • Thanks to the generosity of the Brading family and the funds raised through their golf outing, 149 kids from two different schools in Piqua received brand new pairs of shoes in memory of Sean Brading. We are truly honored to be a part of this tribute to Sean’s life and legacy. This incredible act of kindness has left a lasting impact on these students, giving them not just shoes, but a renewed sense of confidence and hope. To the Brading family, thank you for your trust and support. Your generosity is a powerful reminder of the good that can come from honoring those we love. #2425 pairs and counting. • Earlier this month, Just a Pair of Shoes teamed up with Huber Heights Walmart to provide over 80 kids with brand-new shoes and socks! Store manager Jessica deeply connects with our cause, sharing that in ninth grade, her basketball coach gave her a pair of shoes—a gesture that meant the world to her and left a lasting impact. She shared this story with our volunteers, emphasizing that for her and others, it’s more than Just a Pair of Shoes. Once again, a huge thanks to Huber Heights Walmart, Waynes men’s, women’s basketball teams, and all volunteers!

  • Congratulations are in order for Owen Gazdik, a talented student at Fairborn Intermediate School Owen explained the creative process behind his design and the sentimental value of flowers to his great-grandmother. His design was chosen and incorporated into a message from Drew’s Ogletree’s mother, accompanied by the uplifting phrase ‘never give up.’ This organization has appreciated gaining insight into the thoughtful designs submitted by each student. #mycausemycleats Indianapolis Colts National Football League (NFL) Nike Nike Communications, Inc.

  • We had lunch with 2 of our 8 Project Dream Cleats Winners from Northridge. We also had a surprise visit from Drew Ogletree and his mother for lunch with the students during his bye week with the Indianapolis Colts. Drew got to hear more about the winning designs on his custom pair of cleats and what they mean to each student. Jazmyn loves horses and once she learned what the Colts mascot she decided to draw one on her design. Drew graduated from Northridge and always comes back to inspire the next generation of students and athletes. Drew goes above and beyond in his community and is a shining example of what it means to give back. Congrats to Chloe Cline and Jazmyn Foster!
