Since 2019, Barkov’s #BarkovScores4JoeD campaign has raised $493,600 for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital — donating $1,600 for every goal and $800 for every assist. “It’s money well spent,” Barkov said. “The way they handle things here is incredible… All the healthcare workers that work at this place do an amazing job trying to keep kids happy and healthy.” Thank you, Sasha, for your heart and continued support of our young heroes, and for providing a special suite experience at every home game. Triple the love, triple the strength. This #SiblingsDay, we’re celebrating the unbreakable bond of triplets — Sammy, Maya, and Addison, who just recently turned ONE! Their journey began right here in our Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Wasie NICU, and today, they’re thriving at home, growing into their own little personalities and making memories together every day. Born prematurely at 33 weeks, these tiny warriors received specialized care from day one. With the support of our dedicated team, including speech therapists who helped them transition from feeding tubes to bottles, and lactation consultants and nurses who supported their breastfeeding journey, every milestone became a moment to celebrate. Their path wasn’t always easy. At one point, Addison faced Respiratory Distress Syndrome and episodes of bradycardia, requiring an extended NICU stay while her siblings went home. “This was the most difficult time for us. Juggling two infants at home while one remained in the NICU was incredibly tough,” recalls their mom, Michelle. But, as we fast forward to today, all three are flourishing side by side. Sammy is the pacifier king, Maya never lets go of her favorite doll, and Addison is sweet and "chill", but don’t be fooled, she knows how to hold her ground! “There’s something truly magical about the bond my triplets share… They’ve grown together not just as siblings, but as best friends, with an unspoken language that is uniquely theirs," Michelle says. We are honored to have been part of their earliest days.
