We’re honored to announce that Asher Adams has received the Adaptive Reuse Award at Preservation Utah’s 2025 Community Stewardship Awards! 🏆 This award celebrates historic buildings that have been thoughtfully reimagined for new uses, and Asher Adams is a standout example. Once a historic train station, it has been transformed into a vibrant, modern hotel while preserving its architectural integrity and historic character. With tenants now in place and the project completed within the last five years, Asher Adams exemplifies the power of adaptive reuse to breathe new life into our built environment. A heartfelt thank you to Preservation Utah for recognizing the creativity, collaboration, and care behind this project, and for kicking off National Preservation Month by honoring those who are keeping Utah’s history alive and thriving.

Our team at JNS had the immense privilege of working alongside the legendary Dana Crawford for many years, most notably on the revitalization of Denver’s Union Station. Working with Dana was an honor and a profound learning experience. Her passion, tenacity, and ability to inspire everyone around her left an indelible mark – on the spaces she preserved, yes, but also on every one of us who was fortunate enough to work with her. Dana understood the power of places to connect us to our past, present, and future. She saw potential where others saw decline. She loved watching beautiful but forgotten spaces come alive again. But most of all, she cherished how these places could build community, spark pride, bring joy, and create lasting memories. We invite you to hear firsthand from Dana in a video we captured some years back at the fifth anniversary of Denver’s Union Station’s re-opening. Her work and her passion are a powerful reminder to all of us in this business: the spaces we create, save, and reimagine aren’t just for today—they’re for the generations who will enjoy these places, share their stories, and carry them forward. All our love, Dana.

Thrilled to see The Perry Hotel Key West earn a Michelin Key! 🔑 Located in a working marina with a boat repair shop, lobster company, and artist market, The Perry was one of the first experiential hotels in the area. We designed its public spaces, including the lobby, restaurants, lounges, pool deck, and fitness center, drawing inspiration from the island's laid-back charm and natural surroundings. Congratulations to The Perry Hotel on this well-deserved recognition! More about the Michelin Key: https://lnkd.in/gnCd22kD
