🌟 JA Volunteer Spotlight: Deedar Dosanjh 🌟 Deedar is a wonderful volunteer whom JA has connected with through Charles Schwab. He is always jumping in when he can, making introductions, and encouraging his colleagues to join him in his enthusiasm for volunteering. Deedar has a great 'go-with-the-flow' attitude and does a good job engaging with all of our students, whether he’s at JA Finance Park, the JA Dream Accelerator, or the JA Stock Market Challenge. Thank you, Deedar, for being a great role model for our students and always having a smile on your face! #NationalVolunteerMonth #VolunteerImpact

We are excited to celebrate our partnership with Chick-fil-A Restaurants! Local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators and Team Members joined JA staff for ribbon-cutting ceremonies to officially open the new Chick-fil-A storefronts at our JA Finance Park, presented by Transamerica locations in Greenwood Village and Thornton. Students from Columbia Middle School in Aurora, who were participating in the Robert & Judi Newman JA Finance Park program that day, helped mark the occasion—and even got a special visit from the beloved Chick-fil-A Cow! We are incredibly thankful for Chick-fil-A's support. Read more about the impactful partnership here: https://lnkd.in/gVCjxXGk

𝟳𝟱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝟳𝟱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗦𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮, 𝗠.𝗦. "Junior Achievement has profoundly impacted my life. As a runaway undocumented minor, I struggled to balance work and school and lacked even foundational financial literacy skills to save, budget, and plan for the future. I had few aspirations beyond surviving day-to-day and becoming an American citizen one day. Discovering JA’s programming was a turning point. JA equipped me to navigate the complex immigration process, leading to my acquiring a green card and, finally, U.S. citizenship this year!" Read Svetlana's JA story: https://lnkd.in/gU3N89wf

Last week, the JA Stock Market Challenge was hosted at Charles Schwab’s beautiful campus in Lone Tree. Beyond providing a fantastic venue, "Schwabbies" volunteered in full force as traders, news runners, and portfolio providers, making the competition an unforgettable experience for Metro Denver high school students as they gained valuable insights into stock market fundamentals, the effects of global events on trading, and the importance of long-term investing. We sincerely appreciate Charles Schwab’s continued support of JA’s mission, and thank you to all who volunteered!
