David Lee, Jackson EMC's Gainesville district manager, was awarded the Ralph Cleveland Distinguished Citizen Award at the 2025 Boy Scouts Northeast Georgia Council Annual American Values dinner. 🎉 This award celebrates individuals who exemplify the spirit of community service and inspire others to make a positive impact. “I’m both honored and humbled to receive this recognition from the Boy Scouts,” David shared. “I’m especially proud of the work Jackson EMC does in our communities to make this region a better place to live, work and raise our families.” David has been involved with the program for the last 20 years, and his oldest son is an Eagle Scout. Jackson EMC linemen joined fellow linemen across the state for Lineman Appreciation Day at the Capitol this week. 💡 The event recognized the incredible efforts of Georgia’s linemen to restore power after Hurricane Helene and their work to keep communities powered every day. Linemen from utilities across Georgia participated in the event that also included the presentation of a Senate resolution honoring linemen. Representing Jackson EMC were Jeremy Adams, Bryan Futral, Jonathan Steeb, Taylor Bellflower, Matthew Nash and Shawn Thurston.
