Rachel will take listeners on a journey through Dr. Carmona’s long career of service that began in Harlem at age 12 when he was tasked with caring for his three younger siblings while his mother worked nights. Over the next 60 years, he has held leadership positions in police and fire departments, medicine and government service, emergency preparedness and trauma care, correctional health and public health.
