Today’s a full circle Friday as Barbara (Babbie) Jaco, CPM® (formerly SVP for CAHEC Management and 2024 IREM South Carolina Chapter President) and I had the opportunity to be the guest speakers for Jacob Neil’s Podcast focusing on Career Opportunities in the Built Environment.  Jacob recently graduated from Western Governors University with a degree in communications and is also a Sustainability Facility Professional. Jacob is joining Hawkins in Boise, ID, as an associate property manager.    What lights Babbie and I up about these special opportunities is that we get to share our love for this industry and each other! We both met Jacob through IREM, and we are constantly cheering for his success.   Babbie has devoted 40+ years to growing champions in the affordable housing sector, and I’ve just finished my 39th year in multifamily, and I couldn’t imagine my life without my dear friends and finding new talent.   I could have very easily used the headline: Fan Club Friday. Who are you championing today?
