  • Cars, Pharmaceuticals and Semiconductors, Oh My! interos.ai data shows the impact of the current administration’s recently announced tariffs on vehicles and vehicle parts as well as other proposed tariffs on pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and lumber would be expansive. Number of U.S. Importers: 📱 Semiconductors - 53,000 💊 Pharmaceuticals - 114,000 🪵 Lumber - 153,000 🚗 Automobiles - 216,000 This is on top of the 25% import tariff on steel and aluminum goods, which may also have a great effect on companies in the U.S., with over 400,000 companies purchasing some form of steel or aluminum product. Now isn’t the time to worry about what the tariffs mean. Be strategic and leverage our Regulatory & Market Risk Insights to help you easily identify companies that may be exposed to these proposed tariffs. 🛡️ Link in comments. #tariffs #supplychains

  • A look back on March 👀 Supply Chain Connect recapped last month where the main events that impacted supply chains were: 🏛️ Tariffs ⛔ Disruptions and 💰 New Investments in U.S. The back-and-forth that took place on tariffs was of particular interest to U.S. producers. Our CEO, Theodore Krantz Jr., caught up with FreightWaves to discuss how the steel and aluminum tariffs could hit the U.S. automotive manufacturing industry hard. “We anticipate, just in terms of carry costs on vehicles, assuming…the $25,000 average cost, that’s an incremental almost $6,500 in additional costs that ultimately have to be passed on to the consumer.” Continue reading how the impact on supply chains in March lead to a shift from ‘Certainty to Chaos’. https://lnkd.in/gUmbKAq3 #tariffs #supplychain

💥 Liberation Day and Reciprocal Tariffs 💥 The current administration announced today a baseline 10% tariff on all U.S. imports, with steeper tariff rates on dozens of nations including our biggest trade partners. The reciprocal tariffs outlined will be around half of what countries currently have been charging the U.S., with rates differing nation by nation. Imports from the European Union, China, Japan and South Korea will be subject to tariffs of 20% or higher. Cambodia will see the highest rate at 49%, Vietnam at 46% and Taiwan at 32%. These tariffs follow on top of previous announcements including: 🚗 25% taxes on auto imports 🌐 Levies against China, Canada and Mexico 🏗️ 25% on steel and aluminum imports With today’s news, uncertainty remains as businesses evaluate what comes next. A comprehensive view is critical for organizations to identify and act on disruptions to their direct and extended supply chains. interos.ai launched a new solution, Regulatory & Market Risk Insights to help provide this view. This new offering delivers essential context and data points to help make proactive, strategic decisions in a complex global landscape. 🧨 The End of Globalization…Again? Tomorrow’s round of tariffs is the latest culprit blamed for the death of the interdependent economic system that began following World War II. Much has been written about the immediate impact of these tariffs but as our SVP, Applied AI, Andrea L., PhD notes: There has been much less attention on how these tariffs fit into the broader, macro-trends reshaping the global economy. The immediate ‘fog of uncertainty’ disrupting financial markets and supply chains is part of a deeper restructuring that is underway, one which is driven by a generational technological revolution, and the resulting geopolitical competition shaping this new order. Andrea writes on the beginning phases of creative destruction, one that is upending all forms of market risk and stability. Read how in many ways, tariffs are a symptom of the broader global transformation underway. #liberationday #tariffs

🌸 DC turned on the charm for us to celebrate our inaugural Women in Supply Chain Awards. We had a fantastic lunch overlooking the Washington Monument and celebrating the contributions of women to eliminating risk from our global supply chains. Congratulations to our 2025 winners! 🏆 Young Leader in Supply Chain: Mahnoor Khokhar of Porter Airlines Inc.  🏆 Woman of the Year: Jane Ganina of Telesat 🏆 Lifetime Achievement Award: Jennifer Bisceglie - Founder of interos.ai A powerful theme that surfaced from the day was leading through kindness — how this is a strength, not a weakness, especially in a high stakes field like supply chain risk management. 💜 Thank you to all the women who joined us for our inaugural awards ceremony!   #womeninsupplychain #womenintech #supplychain

  • How are companies addressing the AI adoption gap? Our CEO, Theodore Krantz Jr. joined Nasdaq's TradeTalks to explore this question alongside Matthew Fitzpatrick, CEO of Invisible Technologies and Avaneesh Marwaha, CEO of Litera. They discussed key questions around global AI development and its impact on businesses, including: 🤖 What’s holding enterprises back from adopting AI? 🔧 Could purpose-built, application-specific models be the key to unlocking AI’s business impact? 🌍 With increasing scrutiny on AI supply chains and data sovereignty, how should businesses navigate risks tied to global AI development? Thank you Jill Malandrino for having us! 📺 Catch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gdiNbR_Q #AIAdoption #RiskManagement #SupplyChain
