We want to highlight Wah Shee, Dah Htoo, and Maung Say, three new apprentices in Local 61, DC 82. All three have been hired by Painting By Nakasone, a signatory union employer. Congratulations, brothers!

Giving back is the heart of our union! Members of District Council 21 spent their Saturday volunteering at Concilio, which supports underserved young people and families in the Philadelphia area. Our painters are the best at what they do!

We’d like to spotlight our DC17 Local 739 members in Saskatchewan, Canada, who recently took their skills to the next level with hands-on training in blasting and coating. 9 participants worked with real job-like equipment, getting practical experience in blasting and spray painting.

Our union’s trades build infrastructure that shape how we live, like university buildings that house future generations. Our members at IUPAT District Council 21 Local 252 are working hard getting a new dorm built at St. Joseph’s University, slated to open in fall 2025. This is a 6-story, 240,000 sq ft project, and our members will be installing all 1,490 windows!

Our union's world-class training and education prepare people from all walks of life every single day to be the best in our industry. Our skilled trades have taken brother Byron to install signs at LAX Airport & Ram Stadium, and he is proud to see his finished product showcased on TV!

The IUPAT extends its congratulations to Don Moul on his appointment as the new CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). We’d like to welcome the newest members of IUPAT District Council 57 Painters Local 6, who were sworn in last month at their member meeting. It is our duty as unionists to expand the opportunities of the IUPAT to as many people as possible.

We’d like to spotlight our IUPAT DC53 2nd-year commercial and drywall finishing apprentices, who are focusing on layout, design, and sign painting at the FTI Training Center. Our apprenticeship program prepares people from all walks of life to gain valuable training in the skilled trades.
