Great photos (and project!) TCF Architecture. #interfaceengineering #operationsfacility
SERVICE CENTER – PART 2 Last year, Chelan County PUD’s Service Center reached completion. It is an expansive 21-acre 8-building Maintenance, Operations and Administration (MOA) campus in Wenatchee, WA. These photos focus on the Operations buildings (B-H), which are clad in mostly smooth white metal for lightness and safety, different from Building A’s dark brick. These structures reflect the contrasting light and dark hues of the surrounding Wenatchee valley. Each building is laid out on the site to shape an Operations yard of streets and alleys, allowing for safe and efficient circulation space for vehicles of all sizes. The complex programmatic requirements in planning a project of this size took time. TCF explored and produced multiple scenarios for Chelan PUD with the final selection being one of consolidation at a single site. Its resulting outcome optimizes both crew and administrative operations, increases customer accessibility, provides a “one stop shopping” experience and offers collaborative benefits within the organization for generations to come. Stay tuned! #interfaceengineering #rehabilitation
The water temperature might be a chilly 53 degrees, but that doesn't deter the surfers, swimmers, hikers and bikers who love this picturesque spot on the San Francisco coast: China Beach. If you've visited recently, you've noticed that the first phase of a multi-year rehabilitation project is now complete. Road and parking lot improvements, a strengthened retaining wall, and stormwater biotreatment basins are all in place. A new accessible overlook also offers stunning views of the water and Golden Gate Bridge. Sherwood has been proud to work on the restoration of this historic China Beach site alongside Architectural Resources Group, SWA, Interface Engineering, Inc., the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and the National Park Service. As construction on the second phase kicks off this year, stay tuned for more updates about the renovation of the historic bath house and the promenade that links the beach with a plaza and picnic area.
