We had a fantastic hands-on workshop last night with Ellen Willis and Philippa Birch-Wood from Chetwoods, exploring why materials matter! The session highlighted the importance of material sustainability, covering key topics such as embodied carbon, health and wellbeing, biodiversity, and the circular economy, we left feeling much more confident in choosing sustainable materials. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one attendee saying: "The best evening I’ve had in a long time—we want to see more of this from RIBA West Midlands!"
