  • A small detail almost cost us a great customer. They needed to track by lot number, not SKU. Seemed minor—until we realized it was everything for their compliance and operations. We built a quick fix, they stayed, and we were reminded of a big truth: In logistics, the little things aren’t little. Your WMS needs to flex with your process—not the other way around. Small tweaks. Huge impact. #TakeControl

Ever almost lose a great customer over something that seemed small? We did. One of our cannabis clients needed to track products by lot number—not SKU. It sounds like a tiny detail, but for them, it was everything. Compliance, safety, the whole business depended on it. And honestly, without that flexibility, we might’ve lost them. So we rolled up our sleeves and built a quick script to let them track by lot number. Simple fix. Huge impact. They stayed. Problem solved. It was a good reminder: for e-commerce and logistics companies, the details matter. A system that can't flex with your process can become a roadblock. Your WMS should work for you—not the other way around. With the right team and a bit of creativity, you can shape your tools to fit your business. Even the smallest tweak can make all the difference. #cannabis #wms #infopluscommerce

  • Does your ERP give you total control over your warehouse? ERPs are great for managing human resources, risk management and compliance. But they may not be up to the warehouse management task. Here’s why an ERP might fall short: ▪️Outdated barcode scanning capabilities and layout planning ▪️Confused workers and inefficient stock management ▪️Lack of real-time tracking While your ERP keeps the big picture in check, a WMS handles the details that make your warehouse run smoothly. Think of it as the perfect sidekick to your ERP. Your warehouse team has better things to do than waste time on manual tasks. Some of the most overlooked WMS features can make the biggest difference in saving time, reducing errors, and keeping operations running smoothly: ✔ Cut shipping costs without extra work Guesswork in packing leads to wasted space and high shipping fees. Automating box selection and rate shopping ensures the right fit at the lowest cost—without manual calculations. ✔ Eliminate billing headaches Tracking charges across multiple services can be a hassle. Automated billing compiles time, transactions, and value-added services into clear, itemized invoices so that nothing gets missed and payments stay on track. ✔ Streamline assembly and keep inventory in sync Kitting workflows keep everything organized. Track components and finished goods in real-time, define each step of the process and eliminate confusion in assembly—no matter how complex the order is. ✔ Prioritize orders without the extra effort Not all shipments are equal. Rules-based fulfillment ensures high-value or time-sensitive orders go out first, based on delivery deadlines, customer expectations, or special handling needs. ⬇️ Comment below—what slows down your warehouse the most? We might have a solution for that.

Most warehouses rely on outdated or piecemeal systems that solve only a fraction of their problems. The key to efficiency is integrating your tools so they talk to each other—from inventory and order management to shipping and analytics. 1️⃣ Identify where you’re stuck Pinpoint the steps that slow you down. Maybe it’s order routing or a lack of real-time inventory data. 2️⃣ Connect the dots Link your most-used platforms—eCommerce, ERP, shipping, accounting—so you see the whole picture. Shared data means fewer errors and smoother operations. 3️⃣ Stay flexible You don’t want software that holds you back as your business grows. InfoPlus' Open API puts every system and every process at your fingertips, giving you a single, customizable source of truth. Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all solution, integrating your warehouse systems helps you speed up fulfillment, keep items in stock and predict busy seasons before they happen. Your warehouse should adapt to you, not the other way around. Because when your entire supply chain talks to each other in real time—everyone wins. 👉 See how connecting and investing in better tools can pay for itself and then some: https://lnkd.in/gn7bHjCP
