  • 💧As the floodwaters recede, we would like to highlight how Indiana American Water successfully maintained water production for the communities we serve in Southern Indiana. We extend our sincere appreciation to the 🧑🚒Newburgh and Clarksville Fire Departments 🚒 for their invaluable assistance in transporting our crews to the flooded wellfields using their water rescue squads.💧https://lnkd.in/gyFet3pc

  • A heartfelt thank you to the Newburgh Fire Department 🚒 for their incredible support in helping Indiana American Water keep the water flowing for our community! Residents along the Ohio River 🌊 are facing significant challenges due to the recent surge in water levels, with the river reaching crest levels not seen in many years. Our Newburgh wellfields were particularly affected by interruptions in power service ⚡. Indiana American Water, the Newburgh Fire Department, and CenterPoint Energy crews worked tirelessly throughout the night 🌙 and early morning to re-establish power to our wellfields. The Newburgh Fire Department's water rescue unit bravely transported our crew through the dark, flooded river to reset power to the pumping units. Thank you, Newburgh Fire Department 🚒, for your dedication and heroic efforts in ensuring our community continues to have access to water during this challenging time! 🙏💧

It’s comforting to know we have such reliable heroes in our community. 🙏 Thank you, Clarksville Fire Department! ❤️

Susan Hardwick, CEO, American Water, issued a statement today in response to the grades of C- for water and D+ for wastewater in the American Society of Civil Engineers 2025 Infrastructure Report Card. "Over the next ten years, we plan to invest $40-$42 billion in our systems to help ensure safe, clean, reliable and affordable water and wastewater service.
