  • The CNG-powered semi is in the house! One of our innovative commercial offerings, we provide fleet services with compressed natural gas (CNG) to fuel their vehicles — and also own and operate the CNG fueling stations those fleets need to keep moving. This winter, we began offering customers the ability to test a #CNG engine in a semi, allowing them to experience firsthand how renewable natural gas compares to diesel, from the refueling experience to highway efficiency, torque, and load capacity. And earlier today, IGS-ers at our Dublin, Ohio, office had the opportunity to take a ride in the semi. 😎 Curious about #innovation at IGS? Last week, IGS Energy’s Co-Op students had the opportunity to meet with Columbus City Council President and Columbus Promise champion Shannon Hardin to share their objectives for the future and to receive insights and advice from Hardin. The group discussed: ⭐ Finding your passion ⭐ Making your mark in an authentic way ⭐ The importance of mentorship and supporting the next generation of leaders This year, 9 new IGS-ers took part in our Co-Op program, joining us from Columbus State Community College to work part-time and gain valuable professional experience while also attending school. These students came to IGS through the Columbus Promise, a program spearheaded by Hardin, and Columbus State’s IT Flexible Apprenticeship (ITFA) program. The Co-Op program is part of our commitment to developing the future workforce and ensuring all members of our community have access to thriving careers. At IGS, we often ask leaders what advice they’d share with their younger selves. When asked what advice he’d offer to his college-age self, Hardon shared: “Simply believe that you can really do it. If you’re in the room, you’re supposed to be there — so make it count. And know that, if you work hard, there will be people who will have your back to support you on your path, whether that’s your manager, your mentor, your family, or your company.” Thank you to Council President Hardin for spending this valuable time with us! 👏 To learn more about our Co-Op program, check out this interview with the program’s lead, Lindsay LaSala: https://bit.ly/4gSHGTK
