About us

The Hunts Point Alliance for Children (HPAC) is a community based organization, serving the families that live in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the South Bronx. HPAC’s vision is that every child in Hunts Point is ready for kindergarten, middle school, high school, and college. Our mission is to work with families and local organizations and schools to support the educational progress of the children of Hunts Point. HPAC serves two functions: first to bring the seven neighborhood schools and nine child-serving non-profit organizations together in an Alliance, and second, to provide direct educational enrichment and support services to Hunts Point families. HPAC provides programming in four main areas: Early Childhood Education, Youth Development, Family Support Services, and Education Transition Counseling. Annually, HPAC directly serves 300 youth from birth to college and reaches 2,000 residents through community events and outreach. Linktree: https://linktr.ee/hpac10474

Among New York City boroughs, the percentage of families who experience food insecurity is highest in the Bronx. By partnering with Hunts Point Alliance for Children (HPAC), we can combat this challenge by providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need. Click below to read more about our partnership with Hunts Point Alliance for Children (HPAC) and the necessary resources they provide to the children and families of the South Bronx. • Dear Friends of HPAC, As we continue our end-of-year campaign, we're excited to share a new video featuring Pamela Martinez: A Parent and HPAC Team Member, Growing with HPAC. Pamela’s story highlights how our programs foster meaningful connections and inspire growth in both our scholars and their families. Through our collective efforts, we are empowering students to build confidence, develop essential skills, and explore new opportunities. Please take a moment to watch her story and see firsthand the profound impact we’re making in the lives of Hunts Point children. Your support is crucial in helping us continue this important work. Every donation you make helps us provide life-changing opportunities for our students, both now and in the future. Thank you for your continued belief in the transformative power of education. Your generosity allows us to keep growing and supporting the Hunts Point community. With gratitude, The HPAC Team

  • Dear Friends of HPAC, Last year, over 300 Hunts Point students participated in our programs—learning Shakespeare, performing their own stories, sharpening their writing skills, and exploring diverse careers in science, biotechnology, and medicine. All of our programs work together to broaden children’s horizons, foster a love of learning, and cultivate an appreciation for the arts and sciences. To kick off our end-of-year campaign, we’re excited to share a video about Alex & Jordan: A Friendship That Grows with HPAC, which highlights how our programs create lasting bonds and inspire growth in our scholars. Through our collective efforts, we are empowering our scholars to build confidence, develop essential skills, and explore new opportunities. Please take a moment to watch their story and see the tangible impact we’re making in the lives of the children of Hunts Point. This #GivingTuesday, please consider supporting us with a tax-deductible donation to help continue this important work. Everything we do—and everything we will continue to do—is made possible by the generosity of people like you. Thank you for supporting the Hunts Point Alliance for Children and believing in the transformative power education holds for the future of our scholars. With gratitude, The HPAC Team
