Last week at the Central Plains Dairy Expo, HEI's Doug Thomas, alongside Jamie Fisher (Farmers for Sustainable Food) and Michael Crinion (Ash Grove Dairy), discussed the latest on-farm sustainability reporting practices being implemented in the Edge Dairy Cooperative in the Midwest. The session highlighted what dairy farmers are doing in the area of greenhouse gas emissions and local resource concerns by working collaboratively through farmer/processor led projects, collecting and analyzing data to measure the carbon intensity of milk and crops grown on the farm, and sharing insights on how this information is being uses to add value to the dairy farm and food supply chain. 🐄 #Sustainability #EdgeDairy #CentralPlainsDairyExpo #HEI Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative
