Honored to be featured in this month’s OLI Newsletter at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Sonia Toson’s message about change and growth deeply resonated with me. It’s a reminder that transformation often comes with discomfort, but it also brings clarity, leadership, and direction. I’m grateful to Dr. Toson, Dr. Jennifer Hoyt, Brandon Phillips, PMP, Jasmine Sandhu, MPA, and the entire OLI team for creating an environment where ideas grow and people are seen. This spotlight reflects a journey I’ve worked hard for. From Tunisia to Istanbul to Georgia, and now as a Graduate Professional Assistant, I’ve stayed committed to building systems that make teams stronger and more human. I’m especially proud that Host Guest was part of this feature. It’s a project that’s close to my heart. When I first came to the U.S., I stayed with a host family. That experience shaped me. It made me feel safe, welcomed, and grounded during a time of big change. Now, through Host Guest, I’m working to offer that same feeling to others. We connect students and travelers with trusted host families across the U.S., helping them find affordable, enriching places to stay. What started as a vision has become part of who I am.
