We’re excited to announce our partnership with Holly's House to strengthen child abuse prevention efforts through innovative education! Thanks to a generous grant, Deaconess Family Medicine resident Dr. Brooke Aljandali is leading the integration of a pediatric tool kit from The Mama Bear Effect into well-child visits. This valuable tool kit empowers children to recognize and speak out about abuse, while equipping families with the knowledge to protect their loved ones. • Holly's House had the distinct pleasure to participate in a convening at the United Nations last week at the invitation of the World Childhood Foundation. It was fascinating to hear from world leaders committed to ending violence against children at this annual event, From Commitment to Action: Ensuring Sustainable Action to End Violence Against Children. We are excited that the Holly's House Board President Cindi Clayton, MA-C and Vanderburgh County Prosecutor Diana Moers could join our staff, Executive Director Kristine Cordts, Assistant Director of Development Sally Payne and Assistant Director of Research and Prevention Policy Crystal Sisson at this important meeting.
