Congratulations to our Dietary Services team for earning a strong State Health Inspection score at our Children's campus! We are fortunate to have Samona Alston leading our team. Not only do they make delicious and nutritious meals for our kiddos, but they keep the place sparkling clean and safe. Thank you Samona, Anissa and Blue!

Our Military Liaison, Reginald Waldon, was on the move last week, out and about promoting our soon-to-be-opening Military Program. He attended the Coffee Talk for Veterans, sponsored by Richard Childress Racing, and enjoyed meeting up with Calvin Robinson, the Director of Vet Services for Greensboro, and Kevin Haynes, the Veterans Specialist for Veterans Services of Guilford County. Our Director of Business Development, Elizabeth Adams, enjoyed spreading some cheer this week, delivering Amazon gift cards to our Holly Hill Hospital employees who were nominated by their peers as the co-workers they appreciate for going above and beyond. Teresa Williams works behind the scenes in our Business office. In Elizabeth's short visit with Teresa, she learned why Teresa is a Holly Hill rock star! Teresa is a beautiful mix of professionalism and helpfulness, who is always looking to support her team with any healthcare insurance questions they might have. How lucky we are to have Teresa on our team at Holly Hill!

March is Music Therapy Awareness Month, and we couldn't be happier to highlight our Music Therapist at Holly Hill Hospital! As our Music Therapist, Roslyn Jackson and her guitar bring smiles to the faces of all of our patients. Her laid-back style as she teaches our patients about lyric analysis and improvisation helps not only with emotional regulation but also helps our patients grow coping skills that will serve them long after leaving our facility. Our patients may not always be able to verbalize their feelings, but Roslyn helps them communicate through music. Whether it's finding a way to relax their brains or jump-start them, Roslyn and the music therapy she offers is a very special part of each patient's treatment plans. What a great time we had celebrating #EmployeeAppreciationDay at Holly Hill Hospital! Our team enjoyed some yummy ice cream from Two Roosters Ice Cream as we unveiled all the nominations our co-workers submitted for appreciation awards in the form of Amazon gift cards. Our team was thrilled to celebrate our Lead Activity Therapist, Ms. Johnnie Mcmanus, with our 2024 Employee of the Year Award. Ms. Johnnie, as she is affectionately called, has been with Holly Hill Hospital for 34 years!!! She is an exceptional Activity Therapist who brings creativity and joy to her work, helping patients develop emotional balance and stability in fun and engaging ways. She makes every holiday as memorable as possible for our littles and adolescents. From an Easter Egg Hunt where she purchased supplies from her personal funds to making sure every child receives a gift at Christmas and helping our young patients make psych-safe costumes at Halloween, she goes above and beyond in making every child feel safe and cared for. Her unwavering dedication to Holly Hill Hospital has made a profound impact not only on patients but on staff as well. Thank you, Ms. Johnnie, for being a true light for Holly Hill Hospital!
