Hole Food Rescue works to reduce food waste and cultivate food security.

About us

We serve our mission by rescuing and relocating perishable food that would otherwise be thrown away to organizations committed to serving the community. Hole Food Rescue (HFR) officially launched June 24, 2013 and now has eight daily food donors that set aside the food they can't sell because of blemishes, approaching expiration dates, general surplus, etc. How it works: Employees of participating donors will put unsellable but still safe/edible food into the designated HFR bin located in the back of the store. A HFR volunteer will come by at the scheduled pickup time and deliver the food to the scheduled recipient. Consider supporting our mission and community by making a donation at www.holefoodrescue.org/donate.
