Explaining your remote job to family is an extreme sport… 'So you just… sit on your laptop all day?' 'Wait, no office? So is it a real job?' 'Do they actually pay you for this?' Yes, yes, and yes! Remote work is real, our jobs are real, and no, we don’t just sit in pajamas binge-watching Netflix (well, not during work hours 😅). What’s the funniest thing someone has assumed about your remote job?

Ever wondered what happens when a remote-first team steps out “into the wild” at a job fair for the first time? Yeah, neither did we. But we did it anyway, and honestly, we loved every second of it. Angajatori de TOP, Romania's biggest job fair, was the perfect mix of wholesome conversations, awesome people, genuine laughs, and even a few familiar faces who recognized us from LinkedIn or past interviews. Pretty cool, if we do say so ourselves. 🥹 We brought the full HKR vibe with us: laptop-worthy stickers, quirky merch, and instant Polaroids at our booth’s photo wall — because nothing beats a memory you can take home. Turns out, you guys were really into it. The response blew us away. ❤️ And of course, we had our US partners’ backs. We repped their exciting projects and open roles with pride — and let’s just say, getting candidates hyped came naturally with teams this inspiring. 🇺🇸🚀 Remote work is great, no doubt. But connecting face-to-face? That hit different. We left with sore feet, full hearts, and a few dozen new reasons to love what we do. Angajatori de TOP, you were a blast. Same place, next year? 🤪

Remote work is great and all, but sometimes you have to prove to your coworkers that you’re real beyond just a Google Meet square. That’s why every quarter, we shut our laptops (briefly 😅), meet up face to face, and for a week we remember what it’s like to interact, brainstorm, and bond in real life too.
