Helping Hurricane Ida Survivors Rebuild HGA supported GOHSEP’s FEMA-Funded Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) by providing independent damage assessments to homeowners. The more than 4,000 unbiased assessments that HGA developed helped survivors secure fair repair estimates and avoid overcharges from contractors. Our work also helped homeowners navigate the recovery process by supporting FEMA appeals, permitting, and contractor coordination. Independent assessments set a new standard for disaster recovery, and HGA remains committed to supporting GOHSEP’s mission in rebuilding communities.
