Every caregiver learns lessons alongside the child they're raising. It's all part of growing up! As a mom herself, our VP of Coaching — Irene Biscante — is here to share some personal insights on parenting. Listen to learn how modeling patience, boundaries, and calm can help kids absorb and reflect those same kinds of responses, even when they're faced with a challenge. #BrightlineHealth

Get to know our Lead Recruiter, Isabella, as she shares insights about her job and life outside of work. Each month, we’ll shine a spotlight on one of our amazing team members! What is your "why" for working here? Before coming to Brightline I worked with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in WA state. I saw firsthand how many barriers families face when trying to access care. I believe every family deserves access to mental health services and I came to Brightline curious about how they are moving the needle around access. It’s been exciting to see over the years how we continue to keep that at the forefront of what we do. What are your favorite family activities? Any live music! We have a great music scene in WA. What's your go-to way to recharge and relax? My go-to activity is grabbing my inflatable paddle board and going out on the water. #EmployeeHighlight

I’m humbled and honored to be named to the 2025 Inc. Female Founders list! This year, Inc. is recognizing 500 bold, game-changing women who are driving innovation and transforming industries. Collectively, this group generated $9 billion in revenue and secured $10.6 billion in funding in 2024, a testament to the impact female founders are making in business today. Building Brightline has been a journey of grit, resilience, and passion, and I’m incredibly grateful for the team, partners, and supporters who have been part of this ride. This recognition isn’t just about me. It’s about the work we’re doing to support parents, caregivers, and kids – through every age and stage of life – so families can thrive. We have a big year ahead in 2025. We’re in our second year of BrightLife Kids, a partnership with the California Department of Health Care Services, to deliver free behavioral health support for kids 0-12 and their families, reaching tens of thousands of users in our first year. We’re also launching our first brick-and-mortar clinics to further deliver high-quality and evidence-based behavioral healthcare for kids, teens, and their families while expanding to serve those with higher-acuity behavioral health needs. Thank you to Inc. for this honor, and congratulations to all the incredible women on this year’s list! Iman Abuzeid, Kate Ryder, Tammy Sun, April Koh, Stephanie Strong, Jennifer Schneider, M.D., M. S., Toyin Ajayi, Sonia Priscilla García, Nicoletta “Nicki” Tessler, Psy.D., M.B.A. and others!

Do you know how to find the right therapist for your family? If you're not sure what to look for, you're not alone — this is one of the questions we hear a lot at Brightline. Listen in as Dr. Myra Altman, PhD shares the three things she recommends families look for when searching for a therapist for themselves or their child. (It's less confusing than you might think!) Seeing any kind of animal or pet scared or hurt weighs heavy on the hearts of both kids and adults. Right now in the greater Los Angeles area, many pets and wildlife are confused, frightened, injured, and bewildered. Many have been forced from their homes, separated from their humans, or pushed out of the only familiar surroundings they know. But there are organizations across the county that are working tirelessly to heal, comfort, and shelter dogs, cats, horses, birds, and other beloved pets and wildlife. If you’re interested and able, consider donating supplies, volunteering your time, or sharing your resources with these or other organizations.

These are some of the helpers communities rely on when tragedy strikes. The brave people who rush past fear and towards fire, destruction, and danger. They aren’t just firefighters and other first responders. They are also parents, caregivers, partners, sons, daughters, and friends. They love their families and leave them behind to help yours. So, if you’re in a position to return the favor by donating to causes that support them, please consider doing so.
