About us
HeliosAltas™ is moving the world towards zero carbon energy production through its patented micro-hydro technology and distribution system. Together with our global partners Hunting Energy and Siemens, HeliosAltas™ will help meet the rising global demand for cost competitive zero emission energy solutions. **** BUSINESS SUMMARY **** Hydropower is the oldest and most reliable form of clean energy dating back 2000 years. Today’s hydroelectric market produces 90% of the world’s renewable power and even though most suitable conventional hydropower sites have already been developed, the Earth still contains 300,000 sq. miles of rivers, streams, and canals (Science, 2018). This abundance of natural and man-made waterways have the potential to generate terawatts of power using micro-hydro. HeliosAltas has developed groundbreaking new micro-hydro technology designed to capture this vast renewable power source and deliver affordable, sustainable renewable energy quickly and efficiently throughout the world. **** MICRO-HYDRO LANDSCAPE **** The current micro-hydro landscape includes primarily smaller scale projects that utilize rivers, canals and other waterway in conjunction with small turbine generators. In most cases, water is diverted from a river or waterway and fed through a funnel, pipe, or other structure, where it passes through a turbine generator and joins the river below. Installation is typically invasive to the environment with relatively complex civil works. Conventional hydro is even more complex with long lead time, heavy civil works, long power transmission system load, single power source, along with significant environmental impact. **** HELIOSALTAS COMPARISON *** No competitor can match our unique combination of performance and features. HeliosAltas units can be installed in a matter of days with no environmental impact, small footprint, with consistent 24/7 clean power. Our patented units can also operate in shallow and slow-moving water.

🌍 Happy International Beaver Day! 🌍 Today we’re celebrating one of nature’s great ecosystem engineers — the beaver. Beavers do more than build dams — they reshape rivers and streams in ways that benefit entire ecosystems. Their dams slow the flow of water, reduce erosion, filter pollutants, and create vital habitats for fish, amphibians, birds, and countless other species. Studies have even shown that beaver dams can help block harmful bacteria and viruses from reaching downstream water supplies. HeliosAltas designs micro hydro systems that are efficient, environmentally friendly, and create effects similar to beaver dams by slowing water, reducing erosion, and encouraging biodiversity. We even coined a term for it "beaverization" — our little tribute to those hard working beavers. It works so well that groups like the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, conservation scientists, and watershed organizations have developed beaver dam analogs (BDAs) — human-made structures designed to mimic the ecological benefits of beaver dams. So here’s to the beavers — the original engineers of waterway restoration. Nature had the blueprint all along. 💧🌿 🌍 International Beaver Day https://lnkd.in/ghyDNzt7 📖 See the science https://lnkd.in/gYmGrQw8 📎 Beaver Dam Analogs https://lnkd.in/gy5nE4D8 #InternationalBeaverDay #beaverization #WaterIsLife #NatureKnowsBest #microhydro #riverrestoration #heliosaltas

🌊 Happy World Water Day! 🌎 Saturday March 22nd https://lnkd.in/dmPq_Uq Water keeps life moving. It grows our food, powers our communities, supports ecosystems, and shows up every single day—quietly doing the heavy lifting. But here’s the thing: even though it’s always been there, water isn’t something we can take for granted. More than 2 billion people still don’t have access to safe water. Rivers are drying. Aquifers are shrinking. And in a lot of places, water is becoming more unpredictable—and more precious—by the year. This year’s theme—"Glacier Preservation"—is a powerful reminder of how interconnected our water systems are. Glaciers act as natural reservoirs, slowly releasing meltwater that feeds rivers, supports agriculture, and sustains life downstream. As they disappear, the world’s freshwater—and its future—becomes less stable. Water doesn’t just support life—it also powers it. From mountain streams to engineered flows, water generates clean, renewable energy for homes, farms, and communities across the world. And it does it quietly, reliably, and without the smoke. So today, do one thing—big or small—for water. 💧 Learn about your watershed. 💧 Fix that leaky faucet. 💧 Support a clean water project. 💧 Or just thank your favorite stream, spring, or shoreline. Because when we respect water, we protect the flow—for everyone, everywhere. Here’s to smarter water. Smarter choices. And good ideas that flow. #WorldWaterDay #WWD2025 #GlacierPreservation #WaterIsLife #RespectTheFlow #thinkblue #heliosaltas #microhydro

Did you know - By 2035, 12% of Americans will be off grid and right now 29% of the US population are Preppers. Preppers spent $11 billion last year (and not just on toilet paper!). The concept of emergency preparedness and off-grid living continues to gain traction in the US and abroad. Energy independence aligns closely with these two important themes. - 78% of US homeowners are interested in renewable energy for their homes. - 67% of US population prioritize developing alternative energy sources over increasing fossil fuel production. What does this mean? People want energy independence. So, if you’re thinking about living in a tiny home, shipping container, sailboat, or some opulent off grid estate – and If you already work online from home, then all you need is a stable Internet connection and you’re good to go (if only it were that easy). The question is – could you give up all your 1st-world amenities for the peaceful serenity of live off-grid. Just something to think about over the weekend. #heliosaltas #biofriendly #renewableenergy, #sustainability, #microhydro, #climatechange

Don’t think one person can make a difference? - Check this out - A single PowerWheel can offset more than 76 metric tons of CO2 per year! - It takes more than 3,500 trees to absorb this much CO2 in a year. That’s like doing the work of a whole forest. - It takes about 1.6 years to generate that much CO2 from driving your car. That’s better than an EV. More than Just Co2 offsets: - One PowerWheel offsets more than 17 kilograms of Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), which causes respiratory illness and COPD. (This may not seem like much, but anything over .03 parts per million is bad!) - Additional offsets include Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Particulate Matter (PM), Mercury, Lead, Arsenic, and other nasty stuff that only take a few parts per billion to impact your health. The bottom line is one PowerWheel not only provides affordable, renewable energy. But it also helps reduce the amount of toxins we’re exposed to. These toxins are linked to respiratory illnesses, cancer, heart disease, strokes, neurological problems, diabetes, premature birth, and more. Want to learn more?
