We partnered with City of Celina to design a new downtown government center and parking garage, replacing the former city hall. This new facility will combine administrative services and the community library, streamlining services into one location and creating space for an expanded downtown square, which hosts some of the city's largest events. The design features: • A four-story atrium with flexible meeting and collaboration spaces • A roof deck with a catering kitchen, turf, and event space for activities like family movie nights • 28% library space, 16% office space, 16% collaboration, and 22% social/special spaces, including incubator spaces and a roof garden See how this facility will be a vibrant, year-round addition to the downtown area. https://bit.ly/4ja10xC #HEDAdvances #UrbanDesign #CommunityImpact #ArchitectureandDesign

Spring is the perfect time to reimagine how biophilic design can transform the workplace. It’s not just about adding a few potted plants—it’s about embedding natural elements into the very foundation of the design. At HED, we take a holistic approach, maximizing natural light, incorporating thoughtfully selected indoor plant species, and creating visual connections to the outdoors. By weaving biophilia into every detail, we design spaces that enhance well-being, boost productivity, and reflect the unique needs of the people who use them. Design is more than mere aesthetics. Every project is an opportunity to ask how the built environment can better reflect and support the community it serves. We achieve this by asking the following for each and every project: • What is this project’s greater reach? • Who might it be overlooking? • How can we include, engage, and promote human connection? • How can the design support health and resilience, especially in times of need? Learn how we use these questions to guide our design philosophy so that every space we create isn't only functional, but considered and meaningful for those it serves. https://bit.ly/4iNbFyv #HEDAdvances #DesignInspiration #Architecture #SustainableDesign #CommunityImpact
