The Travis County Commissioners court approved a proclamation yesterday declaring October Hill Country Night Sky Month.  🌃 Hill Country Night Sky Month is  our partner Hill Country Alliance’s annual celebration of our region’s night skies and the hard work that Hill Country communities do to preserve it. Clinics 4ATX, Presented by St. David’s HealthCare, is coming to Southeast Metro Park on October 29 from 6-8 pm. This week, we are SO excited to introduce to you our Night Sky Program Director, Amy Jackson! She brings with her over 20 years of experience in astronomy education, outreach and night sky preservation, including leading programs for Reimers Observatory. Here are some more facts about Amy! Favorite TCPF Park: Pace Bend Park! The many spontaneous weekend cliffside campouts with her family at Pace Bend makes this her favorite Travis County Park! Reason for Joining TCPF: To spread and support night sky education and preservation at Travis County Parks Fun Fact: Amy has a stock tank pond in her backyard that started with 3-4 feeder fish and has now turned into a home for 36 fish, two frogs and counting.

Come out and help clean up our waterways!!🧽 On Saturday, October 26 the 6th annual LoCo Trash Bash will be held at Little Webberville Park to clean up our part of the Colorado River. Help clean the bridges, banks, and water from 7am-3pm. For more information, check out locotrashbash.com.

Very proud of the work Travis County Parks Foundation has done for Travis County Parks.
