Team Hawthorne Tours Alondra Park Multi-Benefit Stormwater Capture Project This week, Team Hawthorne had the opportunity to tour the Alondra Park Multi-Benefit Stormwater Capture Project—a regional collaboration that highlights the power of partnership. The project is a joint effort between the County of Los Angeles, the City of El Segundo, City of Hawthorne, City of Lawndale, City of Manhattan Beach, and City of Redondo Beach. Located in the unincorporated Los Angeles County community of El Camino Village, the project will enhance Alondra Community Regional Park by: Constructing new stormwater infrastructure Adding soccer and multi-purpose fields Installing drought-tolerant landscaping Renovating two existing baseball fields Construction is expected to be completed by early 2026. This project not only supports environmental sustainability and stormwater management but also enhances recreational amenities for local families and youth. Thank you Los Angeles #CountyPublicWorks Team! #Collaboration #Community #GPS
