  • If you think California heat waves are bad, try Thailand. The humidity there doesn’t just linger—it clings. Just ask Parker Posey, who’s already sweating through linen in White Lotus Season 3. But for centuries, people in Thailand have stayed cool without cranking the A/C. How? Passive cooling. Traditional Thai architecture is built for the heat: high ceilings, open-air designs, natural ventilation, and materials that breathe instead of trapping heat. Then there’s swamp cooling, using evaporative water cooling to lower temperatures—no massive energy drain required. But let’s be real. Most of us don’t live in a breezy Thai villa. And when triple-digit temps hit, A/C feels non-negotiable. That’s where Harvest comes in. We’ve taken the best of efficient cooling—like nature’s own evaporative cooling—and built a thermal battery that delivers comfort without the energy guilt. It stores clean energy when it’s cheap and releases it when you need it, slashing emissions and keeping bills low. Smarter cooling, fewer carbon emissions, more ahhh moments. That’s the Harvest way. 🌿❄️ Now, where’s our cold coconut smoothie? 🥥 https://lnkd.in/g9-bBD8D #SustainableCooling #EnergyInnovation #WhiteLotus #HarvestThermal

  • California Has a Heat Pump Plan—But It Needs to Be Smarter California has set an ambitious goal: 6 million heat pumps by 2030. But according to the state’s new roadmap, it’s falling behind. Even with existing incentives, the state is on track to miss its target by 2 million units. The issue isn’t demand—heat pumps are already outselling gas furnaces nationwide. The challenge is cost, awareness, and making them the easy, obvious choice for homeowners. That’s where smarter solutions come in. At Harvest, we know heat pumps are the future of home heating and cooling, but they work best when paired with technology that helps them run efficiently. Our system stores energy when it’s cheapest and delivers heating or cooling exactly when it’s needed. The result? Lower bills, fewer emissions, and a home that stays comfortable year-round. California needs 23 million heat pumps by 2045 to reach its climate goals. That won’t happen unless we consistently make them the most affordable and practical choice for homeowners. Smarter technology is the missing piece - and we’re deploying it today #HeatPumps #CleanEnergy #Electrification #Decarbonization #HVAC https://lnkd.in/gg6QRVpd

  • 🚨 Introducing Harvest Sub: The Heat Pump Revolutionized with Bass 🎶🌍 At Harvest, we’ve been transforming home heating and cooling with our Smart Thermal Batteries for years. But 2025 marks a new era. An era where we demand more from our appliances. What if your heat pump didn’t just keep you warm—it also rocked your world with pure, unadulterated bass? Meet Harvest Sub, the world’s first-ever combined monobloc air-to-water heat pump that doubles as a subwoofer. 🗣️ Evan Green, our Chief Technology Officer, said it best: “It was a monumental struggle to deliver such high wattage to the subwoofer while keeping the heat pump’s efficiency. But we did it—and the vibrations are going to change everything.” 🌟 With precision-tuned low-frequency response, Harvest Sub captures sound waves between 20-80 Hz with stunning clarity—delivering deep, rich bass while keeping your home climate in check. It’s smart, it’s efficient, and it will transform how you experience music and temperature. From Jane Melia, Ph.D., CEO: “When Evan showed me the prototype and played the Macarena... the beat coming through the Harvest Sub, I knew we had something groundbreaking.” 💥 Available at all major retailers starting TODAY—though, we’re telling you now, stocks are EXTREMELY limited. Ready to feel the power of bass and thermal efficiency combined? 💪 #Harvest #SmartThermalBattery #EnergyEfficiency #Innovation #Sustainability #CleanEnergy https://lnkd.in/ghX6fKSu

  • 🌸 Spring…but for energy nerds 🌸 The Spring Equinox marks the shift to sunnier, warmer days—but did you know it can also impact your energy bills? With changing daylight hours and shifting heating and cooling needs, now is the perfect time to rethink when you use energy. Energy prices can fluctuate throughout the day, spiking during peak hours (late afternoons and evenings) when demand is highest. Load shifting—moving energy use to off-peak hours—can cut costs by up to 34% and reduce emissions by 19%. It’s a simple way to save money without sacrificing comfort. At Harvest, we do this for you! Our smart battery stores energy during off-peak hours when electricity is cheapest and releases it when you need it most. That means lower bills, fewer emissions, and a more efficient home—all automatically. As we step into spring, let’s embrace smarter energy habits. Longer days shouldn’t mean higher energy costs! #EnergyEfficiency #LoadShifting #SustainableLiving #SpringEquinox #HarvestThermal

      +1
  • A new MIT study confirms that electrifying home heating with heat pumps—paired with efficiency upgrades—can slash emissions while lowering costs. But heat pumps alone won’t save the planet - or even your local electric grid. While power sector emissions have dropped 34% since 2005, the buildings sector has only cut emissions by 18%—largely due to a reliance on fossil fuel heating. Switching 80% of homes to heat pumps reduces demand and lowers system-wide energy costs. But electrification must always be paired with smart energy management Without smarts, heat pumps can double peak electricity loads. Not great for the grid. Harvest makes heat pumps smart. Our smart thermal battery shifts energy use to off-peak hours, cutting carbon, reducing grid strain, and lowering heating and hot water costs by up to 30%. The future isn’t just electrification—it’s electrification done smarter. And we’re making it happen today. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g8WrGJFR

  • Jane Melia, Ph.D., our founder and CEO, is on the Inc. Female Founders 2025 list for her work Harvest! Homes account for 20% of U.S. carbon emissions, and most of that comes from gas furnaces and water heaters. Jane helped build a smarter solution to tackle home emissions with Harvest —one that eliminates 90% of heating emissions and lowers energy bills by 30%. We’re proud to see Jane recognized. And, happy to report she’s a pretty great boss, too.
