According to the National Weather Service (NWS), April marks the beginning of peak tornado season in the United States (US). Communities nationwide have already experienced significant impacts, with severe storms this past weekend bringing destructive tornadoes to Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. As of early April, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has received at least 525 preliminary tornado reports in 2025, with activity expected to intensify in the coming months.
