Inspiring Hope, Building Homes, Empowering Families & Developing Communities in Central Ohio since 1987.
About us
Our Mission Statement Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio brings people together to inspire hope, build homes, empower families, and develop communities. For three decades, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio has helped transform the lives of over 400 Central Ohioans by providing a pathway to empower people to achieve or save the dream of homeownership with decent, safe, and affordable housing. Its programs provide the successful model of providing a hand-up approach rather than hand-out charity by utilizing sweat equity, financial education and home ownership skills training. Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio was one of the first affiliates to add home repairs and rehabs to its service menu allowing entire neighborhoods to be transformed.

This past Saturday, we proudly dedicated a new home to the Osman Dirie family, celebrating their future as homeowners. This home was made possible through a generous gift from MacKenzie Scott, whose support continues to transform lives here in central Ohio. We also want to thank the dedicated volunteers whose hard work made this home a reality.

We were honored to celebrate the Nichols family at the dedication of their new home! This dream wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of Discover Financial Services, the City of Newark, and the many volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to this project. Make sure to check out the great before and after shot of the Nichols family--from standing in their home when it had just been framed to now, complete and ready for them to move in!

The dwindling supply of affordable starter homes across America is a crisis that denies millions of families the foundation for stability and opportunity, while straining communities and hindering economic growth. In response, Habitat for Humanity is stepping up to advocate for bold solutions. This week at #HabitatontheHill, nearly 500 advocates from 44 states are uniting in a powerful call to the United States Congress: It’s time to address the housing crisis with urgency.
