World Health Day is celebrated on April 7th every year to mark the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization. This year's theme is titled "Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures." The campaign urges governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women's longer-term health and well-being.
