  • We’re delighted to unveil the newly completed lobby staircase at Great Hearts Invictus, which showcases many of our treasured Classics to Keep. A heartfelt thank-you goes to the wonderful Invictus PSO for donating this project and to Mr. Aitchison, the academy's facilities technician, whose dedication over the past few weeks brought this vision to life. At Great Hearts Texas academies, our students don’t just read whole books—they fully immerse themselves in the stories and ideas of classics--cultivating conversations about humanity’s greatest questions. This daily engagement with the Great Books fosters a depth of understanding and critical thinking that will serve our scholars for a lifetime of learning.

  • Breaking New Ground on Story Road! This December, the Great Hearts Irving community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Story Road campus for Great Hearts Irving Lower School! Attendees took a short, ceremonial walk from the current facility on the same road, which has been the home of the Lower School Mustangs for a decade, to the site of the new campus. The event brought together current and legacy families, dedicated faculty, campus leaders, and Great Hearts Texas board members to mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for classical education in Irving, TX. In his address, Headmaster Charles Brogan shared: "Together, we are building on the legacy of excellence that defines Great Hearts Texas. This new campus represents not just a physical expansion but a reaffirmation of our commitment to academic rigor and character development for generations to come." The existing Story Road campus is a testament to Great Hearts Texas's mission of providing exceptional education to more families in the region. As we move into 2025, we look forward to witnessing the transformation of this vision into reality as a new facility is prepared to serve Great Hearts' Classical Charter mission in Irving, Texas. #GreatHeartsIrving #IrvingStrongFutureBright #GreatHeartsTexas #ClassicalEducation #Groundbreaking #IrvingTXSchools #IrvingLowerSchool #CharterSchoolsTX

  • We are proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Great Hearts Irving High School scholars! Nearly 10% of our senior class has been recognized for their outstanding performance on the 2023 PSAT/SAT, a reflection of their hard work and the strength of our academic community. National Merit Semi-Finalist: A special congratulations to Mahi B., who ranked in the top 1-2% of PSAT takers in Texas. As a semi-finalist, Mahi has completed a rigorous application process and will await news in February regarding her standing as a National Merit Finalist. National Merit Commended Scholars: Three of our seniors—Zoya H., Bhakti J., and Liam W.—placed among the top 34,000 test-takers out of more than 1.5 million students nationwide. This recognition highlights their dedication and academic excellence. College Board National Recognition Program: We are also thrilled to celebrate our juniors and seniors, who the College Board recognized for scoring in the top 10% of test-takers in Texas. This recognition celebrates students who identify as first-generation, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Indigenous, or Native. Congratulations to Abdul-Muizz A., James B., Amarachukwu E., Madison J., and Devin P. for this achievement. While testing is but one indicator of our scholar's growth, we couldn’t be prouder of the hard work and dedication these scholars have shown. They represent the best of our Great Hearts Texas community, and we’re excited to see the doors these recognitions will open for them in the future. #CharterSchools #GreatHeartsTexas #ClassicalEducation #OpenEnrollment #CommunityInvestment
