🐶 Paws and Straws 🐕 Mark your calendars! On April 19th from 2 - 4 PM, Groovy Grinds will be hosting "Paws and Straws," an egg hunt benefiting the Animal Rescue League. KUDOS to all of the amazing educators that were involved in organizing an amazing Mustang Nation Learning Expo for students and families at Governor Mifflin School District last week.👏 TExpL educators showcased their creativity and innovative approaches in the classroom, with some examples highlighted below! ⛳ Build Your Own Golf Course—Students used large building materials to design and create their own golf courses, exploring creativity and problem-solving skills in the process. 🍦Homemade Ice Cream: A Delicious Application of the Colligative Properties of Solutions—Students spun up tasty treats while learning about the colligative properties of solutions and the science behind freezing point depression. 🧑🏫The Student Becomes the Teacher—Students take the lead by designing their own lesson plans and stepping into the role of teacher, sharing their knowledge with both educators and classmates in this hands-on learning experience. 🏢 Sweet Read City Business Symposium—This dynamic initiative empowers students to research and launch their own businesses, fostering connections with local stakeholders. As part of the experience, students assume key roles and responsibilities within their companies, gaining hands-on insights into the world of entrepreneurship. 🪟Mirrors and Windows—Students explore novels of their choice, reflecting on personal connections and gaining new perspectives. Through creative projects like blogs and bookmarks, they discover how literature can both mirror their own lives and offer windows into diverse experiences.

On Thursday, the Groovy Grinds students showcased their business at the Governor Mifflin School District Mustang Learning Expo. During this event, the students made over 200 drinks for local community members. In many ways, this event showcased many years of hard work and dedication from all three groups of students who have made Groovy Grinds what it is today. Each of the three Groovy Grinds groups has helped to establish the positive and community-centered brand that Groovy Grinds has become. Many students, past and present, have dedicated countless hours in the classroom, at the coffee shop and at local events to make Groovy Grinds a success in our community. Without their passion and commitment, Groovy Grinds truly wouldn't be where it is today. Thank you Jessica Cochran, Jennifer De la cruz, Michelle Karanja, Joey Berg, Marin Sarbaugh, Danielle Ney, Autumn Albera, Erin Roberts, Zachary Owens, Gavin Rowe, Grace Herman, Gabriellah Alexis, Anderson Ross and the many other students (without LinkedIn accounts) for everything you have contributed to this amazing story!
