Meet this month's Employee Spotlight, Loan Officer, Kyle Johnson! Kyle has been with Gershman for 8 years at our Springfield, Missouri branch! He is married to his wife, Gabriela, and together they have two precious dogs - Jane Doe & Taquito. Kyle and Gabriela enjoy working out and having an active lifestyle that includes hiking and anything outdoors. When asked about a memorable experience with a client that significantly impacted him, Kyle said, "...one of my first closings with my wife was very memorable. The borrower was an immigrant and worked multiple jobs. He had a very rough past and never thought he would be able to buy a house. At the closing, he started crying because he could not believe that it was really happening. This closing experience definitely stands out as one of the most rewarding ones I’ve had." Gershman Mortgage is pleased to offer our annual Albert J. Will Memorial Scholarship to one child of a full-time Gershman Mortgage employee in memory of long time company president, Al Will. The scholarship recipient will be announced in May. "This scholarship was created in 2020 in memory of Al Will, whose tenure with our company began in 1962 and lasted 56 years until his retirement in 2018. It was an honor work with and learn from Al, and we’re proud to keep this scholarship going in his memory. We have had an outstanding group of applicants the last few years and are excited to see the academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and hard work of this year’s applicants." - Adam Mason, President Al was a mentor to many current and former employees- known for his work ethic, integrity, creativity, and passion. Meet this month's Employee Spotlight, Seth Fitch! Seth has been an Underwriter with Gershman Mortgage for just about 5 years. He's been married to his wife, Jenney, for almost 15 years, and they have 2 children. Together, they enjoy attending their kids sporting events, and during the summers, they love to spend time at the lake and traveling! Seth also enjoys the hunting seasons - turkey in the spring, and deer in the fall. His favorite sports teams are the Michigan Wolverines and the Chicago Cubs. When asked if he could swap jobs with anyone at the company for a day, Seth said, "Adam Mason - I think it would be interesting to see the mortgage industry from a very high corporate level (but just for the day!)."
