The National Park Trust recently awarded Mrs. Laura Bush the 2025 American Park Experience Award for her “lifelong dedication to conservation, environmental education, and our national parks – as well as parks in her home state of Texas.” Mrs. Bush joined students from Thomas Tolbert Elementary and L.O. Donald Elementary as well as Girl Scouts from Troops 4164 and 4181 and Eagle Scouts from Troop 581 for a walk in the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park at the Bush Center. “Teaching children about our land – how to protect it, respect it, plant it, and care for it – is essential for the future of our state, and our country,” Mrs. Bush said. “Thank you to the National Park Trust for honoring me with this year’s American Park Experience award. You are helping the next generation find the joy in discovering and exploring our nation’s parks, and I am grateful.” Join us for a free tour of the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park this spring: https://lnkd.in/gh4eqPXT
