Gensler, in collaboration with Northwood Investors, Platform, and Arup, are proud to unveil The Acre—an innovative retrofit in the heart of London’s Covent Garden. Retaining 80% of its original structure while cutting embodied carbon by 50%, the building’s centrepiece is The Heart—a striking seven-story atrium that brings 20,000 sq. ft of retail, amenities, and public realm space to one of London’s most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods. More than just a workplace, The Acre is a destination where community and innovation come together. 📸 Hufton + Crow #TheAcre #LondonLandmark #BuildingTransformation #GenslerDesign #GenslerLondon

We're thrilled that Gensler's Joseph Joseph was able to join Mayo Clinic at their Better by Design Healthcare Expo last week to discuss the intersection of health and design.
Today was truly inspiring! We engaged with our staff at Mayo Clinic’s Better by Design Healthcare Expo, held right here at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. We heard from colleagues across the enterprise about their progress with Bold. Forward. Unbound., sharing success stories and fostering collaboration. We also delved into the exciting world of AI and automation, with leaders highlighting Mayo's work to create the foundation of partners to accelerate innovation – ultimately ensuring Mayo Clinic is leading the transformation of healthcare globally. We are always focused on placing the tools in the hands of our staff who provide the Category-of-One experience to our patients each and every day. The most exciting aspect was hearing from our staff who came together, collaborated, and shared inspiration. Their messages – their likes, wishes, and wonders – are invaluable, and are the heart of Bold. Forward. Unbound., and we'll be carefully considering every piece of feedback as we move forward, together. We will carry the energy and inspiration from today into our work, embracing the challenges and opportunities ahead. We will be Bold, we will move Forward, and we will remain Unbound in our pursuit of excellence. #BoldForward #BoldForwardUnbound

We at Gensler are saddened to hear of the passing of David Childs. Our thoughts are with his family, the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill team, and all who had the privilege of working with him. David's remarkable legacy in architecture and his profound impact on the profession will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our former Chairman David M. Childs, FAIA, who died peacefully at home Wednesday at the age of 83, surrounded by his family. David joined SOM's Washington, D.C., studio in 1971, and over the next 50 years, he was instrumental in many of SOM’s most impactful projects, including a master plan for the National Mall, the expansion of Dulles International Airport, and both One World Trade Center and 7 World Trade Center in New York City. His contributions to the profession were extensive and profound, and we will always be grateful for David's leadership, mentorship, and friendship. We will miss him dearly and extend our condolences and deepest sympathies to his family. Read his obituary in The New York Times and view a selection of his iconic legacy below. Ra Ra Room is a new dining club in Phoenix that envelopes guests in an atmosphere of intrigue and prestige. The experience is meticulously curated from arrival to departure, and features warm pink and red hues, inspired by the Phoenix desert rock formations, to set the palette. Ruched drapery and midcentury-era thematic artwork build on the desert hues and textures, while also hinting at a "Rat Pack glam" aesthetic. More than just a dining venue, it is an experience, a story, and a celebration of sensory indulgence. 🥂 📸 Douglas Friedman #GenslerHospitality #HospitalityDesign #InteriorDesign #Gensler #GenslerDesign
