We’re dam excited to share that GEI has received a Project of Merit award from the Climate Change Business Journal for our innovative development of That Dam Game in collaboration with Yuba Water Agency and the US Army Corps of Engineers. An extra big congratulations to #TeamGEI’s Rebecca Verity Verity, who is the lead developer of the game. #ThatDamGame is reshaping how we engage communities and professionals around the complex decisions involved in dam management and #climateresilience. From simulating real-world tradeoffs to encouraging multi-benefit solutions, the game empowers players to navigate tough choices around drought, flood safety, and long-term water supply. It’s been a hit at professional conferences and community events alike—bringing people together to explore sustainable, cost-effective, and resilient strategies. This award is a celebration of collaboration, innovation, and storytelling—core values that drive GEI’s approach to tackling the challenges of climate change. #ClimateAdaptation #AwardWinningInnovation Want to learn more check out our website: https://ow.ly/TxNG50Vymjh

#TeamGEI had a wonderful experience at MEA Energy Association (MEA) hosted by Ameren. The 1.5-day event – organized by and for utility and consultant professionals – explored key #environmental issues shaping the energy industry across the country. GEI was proud to contribute to the conversation and share our perspectives and insights. The conference featured a range of sessions and roundtable discussions on topics including emerging issues, #MGPs, decommissioning, and other critical challenges facing the sector today. And yes—when you get the chance to pose with a bald eagle, you take it. #Thankyou MEA and Ameren for a memorable and meaningful event and a special shout out to Scout the Bald Eagle (for his perfect posing) and his handler from the World Bird Sanctuary. #EnergyIndustry #EnvironmentalLeadership #UtilityConsulting Brandon Teel, RG, PE Amy M. GEI was honored to take part in the Italian Water Convention in Bari, Italy—an international gathering of water leaders, technical experts, and institutions focused on the theme: “Water Quality: Protection and Conservation of Water in a Scenario of International Dialogue.” Solidea Bonina, Ph.D., Senior Environmental Consultant, represented GEI at the event and presented on “Sustainable Water Resource Management and Cooperation Between Countries,” highlighting actionable strategies and cross-border collaboration between the U.S. and Italy. GEI’s participation was also featured in multiple Italian news outlets and recognized during the event hosted by #UNESCOClubs, #Portad’Oriente, and the Italian Society of Environmental Geology held at Acquedotto Pugliese SpA Pugliese, one of the country’s largest and most innovative water utilities. We’ve summarized the event, GEI’s contributions, and key media highlights in our latest post on News & Insights: https://ow.ly/VzNI50VwYco.
