GI of the Rockies Opens New GI Care Facility in Downtown Denver It comes with great pleasure for Gastroenterology of the Rockies to announce its grand opening of the new Downtown Denver Endoscopy Center. We are now scheduling patients. “The Denver community is invited to visit our new GI facility to see firsthand what we’ve built. It’s our hope that by offering this new state-of-the-art GI facility, it expands the reach of exceptional digestive health care services for people who live and work in Denver,” said Joseph Cassara, MD, MBA board president with Gastroenterology of the Rockies. And with March designated as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, we don’t mind saying, the timing of our grand opening is impeccable. Staff Spotlight Alert ~ Meet Winford Rule, office MA at our Lafayette, Colorado clinic. We are beyond ecstatic to share some fantastic news! Winford was recently accepted into medical school. A big congrats goes out to Winford for this huge accomplishment that has been a long time in the making. We caught up with Winford to get this scoop on his decision to pursue medical school and advance his career. Here’s what he said. Q: What inspired you to apply to Med School? A: My family. Many of my family members have chronic conditions. My sisters' Multiple Sclerosis, brother's Muscular dystrophy and mother's Lyme disease. I want to help patients like them live fulfilling lives without the condition’s hinderance. At GI of the Rockies, we try to mentor staff and create a learning environment where people can expand their career potential. Winford is an example of someone who's willing to put the extra effort in so he can create a successful and rewarding future for himself.
