HBO Max Adds ASL Interpretation to “The Last of Us” https://lnkd.in/gXwHxvdH HBO’s Max has launched an American Sign Language (ASL) version of its original series The Last of Us—marking the first time an HBO original includes an ASL interpreter option. The ASL version will be available weekly as new episodes air and includes a dedicated title under the Max app. Season 1 is now fully accessible with interpretation. This builds on Max’s growing accessibility features: audio description, closed captions, screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and more. #DigitalInclusion #DeafAccessibility

Google Drive Adds Searchable Video Transcripts Google is rolling out searchable transcripts for captioned videos in Drive. Users can navigate video content by searching keywords within timestamped transcript blocks. This supports improved access, content navigation, and usability across teams and formats. Brain-Computer Interfaces and Communication Access https://lnkd.in/e9heZ_Sp Researchers at University of California, San Francisco and University of California, Berkeley have developed a brain-computer interface that allows a participant to communicate using brain signals translated into digital speech and facial expressions. This system supports personalized voice and vocabulary settings and highlights how assistive technology can expand access to communication without requiring speech or movement. 75% of Firms Risk Fines as EU Accessibility Act Deadline Approaches   With the EU's European Accessibility Act deadline of June 28, 2025, fast approaching, a Storyblok study shows 75% of European businesses risk fines for non-compliance.   Only 25% are fully prepared, and many are still in the process of adapting.
