Congratulations to our Colleague of the Month, Luther Wason, Cardiac Cath Lab! Colleagues said, “Luther goes above and beyond not only for the patients in the Cath lab, but also throughout the hospital. He is always willing to help out with IV starts and is well known throughout the hospital for his expertise. Patients love him for his kindness, gentleness and real concern for their comfort and experience. He is often the first to bring the patient a warm blanket as well as a reassuring smile. Many thanks to Dr. Jonathan Eddinger, the medical director of New England Heart & Vascular Institute (NEHVI) and cardiologist at our fellow HCA Healthcare New England hospital Catholic Medical Center (CMC), for penning this insightful op-ed published in the New Hampshire Union Leader. "CMC's partnership with HCA Healthcare brings the scale, resources and clinical expertise to sustain CMC's legacy of exceptional care," said Dr. Eddinger. "Their investment is already visible, with $1.8 million in new equipment and facility upgrades deployed within the first few days [...]. In cardiology, capital investments will upgrade the electrophysiology (EP) labs, cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath) labs and non-invasive cardiology areas, further strengthening services for patients."
