One sensor—placed near a dusty farm and aligned with prevailing winds—recorded 𝟲𝟬%+ 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 soiling loss than the others on the same day. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Why? Factors like: 🚜 Adjacent ag activity 💨 Prevailing winds 🚚 Dirt roads & on-site traffic 🌳 Pollen-producing vegetation 🏗️ Irregular or segmented layouts If you’re relying on a single sensor to represent an entire site, you're likely missing major opportunities to 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. ➡️ General guideline for DG Projects: 1 soiling station per 5–10 MWdc.
