This month, the Veterans Justice Initiative (VJI) team enjoyed the privilege of providing Veteran-Focused Crisis Intervention Training to North Carolina’s State Highway Patrol Troop B. These Troopers gained valuable insight into Veteran culture and the challenges they may face, learned to recognize mental health disorders specific to the Veteran population, and practiced effective de-escalation techniques to improve interactions and outcomes. By taking a proactive approach, Troop B ensures that its Troopers are better equipped to handle crises involving Veterans and make a real difference in their communities. 💙 Thank you to NC State Highway Patrol Troop B for your dedication to protecting and serving those who have served our country.
